Drumbeat School & ASD Service

Drumbeat’s Official Grand Opening Carnival took place on Friday 27th September. This was a celebratory launch of our new school building in Roundtable Road. It was attended by the Mayor of Lewisham - Sir Steve Bullock, Frankie Sulke – Executive Director for Children & Young People, Jenny Éclair – acclaimed comedienne and Peppa Pig, to name a few.

A wonderful time was had by all.

The students, staff and visitors all joined together for a colourful carnival parade around the school led by a musical junk model sculpture of a train.

After the official cutting of the ribbon the primary and secondary school choirs performed to rapturous applause and all joined in with the Drumbeat School song.

Parents and guests were invited to stay for a while and look around the school while partaking drinks and multicultural traditional food prepared by a group of parent volunteers.
