10GL consists of 7 students. All are teenage boys of the age of 14 who have very individual personalities and all have diverse social and learning needs. They are supported by one teaching assistant- Vincenzo, who always offers students patience, dedication and advice.
As part of learning outside the classroom activities our group likes visiting new places together to enhance their interests and learning skills. Since September we have been going to places of interest, including those in our local surroundings. The visits out aim to strengthen and enable our students to communicate and develop appropriate social skills. We have already been on visits to a German Market and Greenwich Market. Recently, the group went to Catford Broadway Theatre to watch a pantomime- Sleeping Beauty.
Our students enjoy many subjects across the Curriculum including; Art, ICT, Media, Maths, Science and Food Technology. 10GL students like helping others. They are looking forward to their work experience in the New Year. Some of them will develop their mentoring skills with younger students, supporting them in lessons and outdoor activities. All students are working on options of their choice preparing for the Entry Level Certificate in Media, Child Care, Science.
