Introduction

For pupils learning at home we are using google classrooms and supplementing this with home learning packs. All parents have been given a login by the class teacher if you have any questions on this please contact admin@drumbeat.lewisham.sch.uk

In addition the following pages are designed to support families at home and especially during any isolation phase. All activity ideas and resources are aimed to give families additional options beyond google classrooms and ideas but are by no means compulsory. Activities are divided into curriculum areas according to Drumbeat’s bespoke curriculum but can be used as works best. We would suggest using areas your child likes as a starting point. Curriculum activity ideas are also organised into pathways to help support with finding the right level for your child. If you are unsure of your child’s pathway, please contact school who would be happy to guide you. Pathway information can also be found in previous school reports.

Pathway 1 (Roots, Foundation, Functional)

Pathway 2 (Shoots. Developing, Taking off)

Pathway 3 (Blossom, Enhanced, Reaching out)

Please see pathway information under ‘advice’ tab for more information.

In addition to activity ideas we have also provided a vast range of visual supports and social stories. These are printable at home but whilst the school is open we can print on request. Again there is a range of levels and not all will suit your children, so please select what you think will work for your child. If you are unsure about what would be best, please do not hesitate to contact the school who will be happy to advise.

We also have added an advice area where you can find information on structuring a day for an Autistic person, physical activity ideas during possible isolation and communication advice from our school speech therapist.
