What is Drumbeat PSFA?
Drumbeat PSFA is for everyone. It’s for all the parents, staff, carers, friends and supporters who make up the community that is Drumbeat School & ASD service. As a parent, carer or teacher you’re automatically a PSFA member.
We hold coffee mornings regularly throughout each term – usually in the Parents’ room at the DB Downham site. Everyone is welcome to attend, even just to see what is going on. Committee meetings are held once a term. Attending a meeting is the best way to get involved and help out.
What we do
We exist to raise funds for equipment or anything that will further the learning environment for the pupils and which cannot be funded by the school’s budget. We’re also an informal social network for parents, teachers and anyone with an interest in the school.
We organise events throughout the year, and opportunities for parents to gather together. The social side is just as important as the fundraising as good relationships can only enhance the school experience for children, families and staff.

How we’re organised
At the heart of our PSFA lies our Committee; these are a self-motivated group of parents, carers and staff members who have offered to be on the committee through election by our PSFA members. The Committee holds and attends meetings regularly and sends out minutes of the items discussed at these meetings. To become a committee member requires a degree of commitment, and the ability to communicate with other members effectively. This is a vital element to the efficient running of PSFA affairs, which requires appropriate accountability and organisational skills for us to perform optimally.
PSFA seeks Office Bearers and Committee Members!!!
We need people who can help shape the PSFA and organise it to be a thriving group for the school. We’re after a chair, vice chair, secretary, treasurer and committee members. If you have admin skills, perhaps are good with finances or would like to organise events we’d love you to put yourself forward.
