We'd love everyone to get involved in Drumbeat's PSFA - parents, staff, carers, child minders, aunties, uncles, grandparents and friends.
By taking part you can help raise much needed funds for Drumbeat and this supports activities and opportunities for our pupils. You can also meet other families and friends, share common experiences and have some fun.
Get involved as little or as much as you like - though we'd prefer a lot!
Here are just some of the ways you take part.
Office bearers: We are currently in the process of registering the PSFA as a charity with the Charity Commission - which means we have to be a bit organised. And we need people to help us be organised. We have Janet Atukunda, our acting chair person, but we also need a vice-chair, secretary and treasurer. If you have good administration skills – or would like to develop these further – this is a great opportunity.
Committee members: We always need committee members to help actively steer and organise events such as our annual Christmas and summer fairs, information workshops and gatherings. This could involve setting up stalls at our fairs, making refreshments at a workshop or organising a social activity.
Attend events: The best way you can support the PSFA is to attend the events we run throughout the year – from school fairs and fundraising events to workshops, coffee mornings and social gatherings. So don't be a stranger. We really are a friendly bunch.
Bake, donate, create: We understand you can't always make it to an event (though we will miss you). But you can get involved in many other ways. You can donate cakes for a cake sale, send in gifts for a tombola or sell raffle tickets, make crafts to sell, or get your employer or local businesses to donate prizes.
Donations: Raising money for the PSFA couldn't be easier - or more fun! All you do is click on a link, and when you are re-directed to the site, you shop as usual. We receive a commission based on what you spend or what you order. The price you pay is just what it would have been normally, and you will be buying directly from whatever shop you choose. We just act as a director of traffic, and as such, are rewarded.
